my encore petite!

hooray, i finally got my little package from mathyld of encore petite. she sent me the sweetest little things i am so very grateful for her and our blossoming friendship.

look at these adorable house pins she made for natalie and i. of course, nat was just thrilled to receive a little gift all her own.

tea from her mother's tea shop in france. i can't wait to try it (i am waiting until nat gets home from school so we can have it together).

more delicious teas! i already had the inuit herbal tea this morning. it's juniper and had a very nice, different flavor i hadn't had before.

our california adventure...

wednesday we took natalie to disney's california adventure for a bit and then afterwards to disneyland. here, a few photos of her, along with pictures with kenai and koda from brother bear.

about the tea and the girl

dearest mathyld,

you will be receiving all the tea i have to give away! i hope there will be no problems shipping it all to france but i do hope you enjoy it all. already i am thinking of more teas to fill the vacant spots of the ones i must let go of! tea is wonderful, i just love it so...



today was a bit harder for natalie but i am thankful that yesterday and the day before was good for her. she cried a lot this morning but she did so well when the bell rang and i had to leave. i had wrote down isa. 41:10 on a piece of note paper earlier in the week and i had drawn doodles of owls and feathers on it. i prayed with her in the morning and also read it to her. before we had to leave, she wanted me to read it to her again, so i did and i asked her if she wanted to take the paper with her. she said yes and so i folded the paper and put it in her front pants pocket. we walked to school, talked about the luke the cat and how he use to follow me everywhere when we were both younger and she liked hearing it. once the bell did ring, she had a sad look on her face but i told her to be strong, gave her a kiss, a walked away. as i walked out of the gates, i looked back at her and saw her pulling the paper out of her pocket to look at it.
later in the morning i talked to rick and told him. he said even though it's hard right now, those are little moments to be cherished. indeed they are...

letters and a package

this weekend i received my wax, seal and dipping pen from nostalgic impressions. i sealed my first letter to my dear friend yvette and gave it to her on sunday.
today i went to get the mail and i had received the sweetest card from my friend mathyld (thank you so very much, you are such a sweetheart!) and my trade from jennifer of louveciennes. she gave me a delightful little owl lumpy named willow. she is a dear and is completely made of recycled materials. natalie took to her right away and has been 'taking care' of her because willow is a 'baby'. she also included a very pretty crocheted bracelet i am completely loving it!

as for my darling bubelah, today was a much better day, thank God. she was having anxiety about it all weekend but we kept talking to her and sharing with her things to help her. we prayed for her and also shared with her a verse, isaiah 41: 10 "fear not, for i am with you; be not dismayed, for i am your god, will strengthen you, yes, i wll help you, i will uphold you with my righteous right hand." hopefully the rest of the week goes just as well.
thank you, all of you, for your comforting comments about my rough time last week. it means so much that others care about what goes on with our lives. thank you thank you again, all, so very dearly ♥

8. as always, new etsy favorites and wonderful blog entries by others to peruse. there is just so much beauty and creativity out there, i love finding it and sharing it with my friends...
   

today is today. dealing with some stronger emotions deep inside. it's been a tough week for the girl and i and i am just hoping that God gives us strength. i knew he will but sometimes you just feel a bit worn. that is how it is today.
it's also hard, knowing that i have to find a part time job and after all this absence from the work force, i just want to be involved in something i am really going to enjoy. it's a bit disheartening to look online and just see the same old boring jobs available. i want something interesting, something different. we will see i suppose. you need to do what you need to do, right?
i need to draw, put my mind to it's creative use i suppose. i want to add new things to the shop but am hoping to sell what's there already.
speaking of shops, has any heard of art fire? it's like etsy, another place to buy and sell handmade but with no fees. also, another neat thing is that art fire works with trees for the future and for every new member they plant a tree on their behalf. i have set up a profile but have not added to it just yet. if you would like to become a member, i personally invite you myself.

well, i am off to continuing listening to radio stations via my last.fm and to tidy up a bit. wishing you all wonderful thoughts and sunshine this friday to you all....♥

wednesday wednesday...

i've been meaning to come here and put a proper post.
these past few days i've bit a bit consumed with my twitter
(know that if i am not blogging here, i am most likely micro-blogging there).
sometimes small thoughts are all i can muster; you know those days.
a bit more contemplation, or at least for me.

also in the past few days, i've been mulling over a new book i got this weekend
the illustrated encyclopedia of healing remedies by c. norman shealy MD, PhD.
i've just been so enthralled with natural remedies, herbs, teas and such.
i've been mentally making a wish list of what i would like to purchase from
such places like mountain rose herbs, bach flower remedies and smallflower.
i would love to build up my own little herb and tea cabinet and to have a little
garden too. maybe one day...

i've also started a new little place. i call it the secret cabinet of pomegranates.
i suppose i should describe it as a sort of scrapbook of visuals, a place for inner thoughts,
daily things and sorts. i have my twitter, brightkite and a couple of my tumblrs (fables & apothecary) streaming through there as well. if you would like to take a gander, please do and unlike tumblr (unless you add a html code separately) you can comment there and share posts.
just another place if you feel like perusing.

one last thing i have been meaning to share. i have GERD (Heartburn, Gastroesophageal Reflux, Acid Reflux) so i have some restrictions on what i can eat. now, i looooove tea but unfortunately, there are some out there i can no longer have (sigh). so....if anyone is interested, i have a bag load of teas to give away. they are in opened boxes or bags but if you would like them, they are yours.

a little ghost

a little ghost in pencil and colored pencils i drew yesterday...

oh thirteenth friday!

jasmine tea has been filling my cups this week and it has been heavenly drinking it with honey a bit of sugar.
yesterday, a little early surprise came for me. my husband bought me the little handmade wednesday from a girl called ric (and she came with a little harry potter button too)!
today, the girl got dressed in her pink and red valentines day dress, in black stockings and her black pea coat. she look so darling and i am sure she will have fun exchanging valentines (we made hers, a dora print out on pink scalloped stock paper).
since tomorrow is the big heart day, i had to fix up the valentines owl post she will be 'receiving' from her friends at hogwarts: harry, ron, hermione and even fred and george!


this lovely little stationary came from the darling shop of celestefrittata. she has such neat things that pertain to the magical word of hogwarts. so tomorrow when the mail comes, i have to slip this in, unnoticed with the rest and present it to her!

happy day indeed

oh happy day with my trade with belinda of little black forest! i become the owner of this sweet little pink yeti whom i've named strawberry milk. i also received the black little house i had been spying on her etsy and a wonderful little tin of harney & sons valentine's blend. it is chocolate tea with rosebuds and smells exactly like that when you open the tin. i had been wanting to try tea from them too, thank you thank you belinda!

this is my dream kitchen (and photos of the green house and yard) and it only exists in the movie, practical magic. oh to have a house like this (by the sea!) would truly be, magical...

our show....

natalie and i just finished putting on a small variety show for rick and my dad. we compiled our list of what we would be 'showing' yesterday. it went really well and hopefully soon we can have a little portable way of having curtains to 'open' and 'close' the show. maybe some maharaja hats and feathers or some thing like that next time!

i love this. she drew it during the weekend in her new little hogwarts journal her uncle bill gave her. it's a little girl with two birds above her kissing and from those kisses arises the hearts into the sky...

we braved the rain on friday night to see coraline and none
of us were disappointed. we all feel in love and i am happy
that the darker moments did faze my little bubelah.
so now i'm finding a little magic everywhere on the coraline website
and wanting the soundtrack and the dolls too...
