can i be a little fox?
(from my own flickr)

the fox is quickly becoming a favorite of mine for various reasons. he is often seen as sly and clever. in some stories he is the mischief maker, the villain. i rather like the portrayal of the fox in the lion, the witch and the wardrobe. in the film, when the pevensie siblings, along with mr. and mrs. beaver are running away from the wolves, they encounter the fox whom at first they think is also the enemy. the fox proves he is a believer of aslan and therefore an ally by hiding them and helping them escape ftom the wolves. i do believe them to be dlightful creatures, so here i am among them...

I'm loving your background. Is it hard to do?

These are wonderful! I remember being enthralled with the magic of the Lion, the witch, and the wardrobe as a child.

I love foxes too. We have a ton of them in Colorado, and now that we're in the city, I see them on my late-night runs, skipping on the thin ice at the edges of the lake. I heard one "cough" (I think that's what they call it) at close range one time on a hike above Vail...it's more like a combination between a scream and a bark. I had my dog with me and the fox must have had cubs nearby - I've never seen them confrontational before or since.
I love the fox in CS Lewis also. In Asian legend they're a bit more ominous.

Guess what sweetie : my mum was in the forest the other day and met a FOX !!!
I am so jealous ! Apparently he looked at her, still, for a minute ... Then left quietly ...

She told me that he was sooo red and utterly beautiful.
