on her fifth birthday, we went to the los angeles zoo with her friend jessie.the day started out cold and gray but the sun made it's presence a bit too.
after the zoo, we went to another part of griffith park so the girls could go on a pony ride.
afterwards we headed back home for birthday cupcakes, ice cream and presents!
though her birthday was small and quaint, i do believe it was special for her like it was for us.
i hope that she grows to remember that it's not how big or expensive life is celebrated, it's that it's celebrated with love.
