the last day of december...

for new year's eve, we decided on an impromptu night of camping in san mateo with my cousin and his family.

it was very brisk, very cold but it was beautiful, with a drove of rabbits nearby in the picnic area,
searching for yummy tidbits to eat. the trees and leaves looked completely magical to me, especially with the clouds hanging so low. night came quickly and we all gathered around the camp fire. i just gazed at the flames, dancing higher and higher, with little sparks flying up only to evaporate in the air. the stars were bright and beautiful looking down on us. i love camping, for the outdoors, the camp fire and the stars...

our little bubelah grew tired early so we snuggled the best we could in our sleeping bags and blankets. i did not get to celebrate the coming of the new year with everyone else but i sure heard it and smiled before going back to sleep.

unfortunately i found that the camera had died in the morning. these are the only photos i was able to take of the last day in december...nonetheless...
