Yes, it's true. Alligators are my current favorite creature. Don't worry, owls are not put on the back burner but are taking a little rest at the moment. :) I've been thinking of stories lately, as I have mentioned before and I am hoping a new endeavor and collaboration is coming into fruition soon but that's all I can share at the moment! Until then, I'll share my most current drawn girl with her pet alligator and parakeet (who likes to nest in her hair, of course). I couldn't decide which dress color I liked most so I thought to give her four different colors. I personally think she looks great in all of them and I am also thinking this might not be the last time we see her...
And speaking of parakeets, I tweeted last week that Pip did not make it. Long story short, we believe (along with the store we got Pip from) that he was not well when we purchased him. It was of course sad, and we waited a few days but today we have brought home another (and hopefully) last feathered friend. She is beautiful and Natalie has named her Pip Jane or PJ. We are all wishing PJ a long life with us so here is hoping and praying!

your feast tonight sounds PERFECT!
i'm sorry to hear about sweet pip. parakeets can be really fragile, but once they get going they can live long lives. we had "chucky" for all of my pre-teen/teenager years and he talked up a storm! he'd say "hi mikie, where's heather?" and "i love you" and "merry christmas!" stuff like that. it was soooo cute. good luck with pj, she's a real cutie.
and i'm loving the alligators! what gorgeous, mysterious creatures.
I'm loving your little "Louisiana" artistic period :) and wishing Pip Jane a long life !
