What is your current obsession?hmm, current? well most of the time i am really into learning about herbs, plants, flowers, just nature in general! finding new crafts and things to make and for my daughter and i to do. gardening, planting seeds and watching them grow. oh, and a strong desire to get back in to wearing thrifted and vintage clothing!
What is your weirdest obsession ?
that's an interesting one? weird, i am not sure but i do have an unhealthy love for lip balm! i have lip balm everywhere!
What are you wearing today ?
my favorite black skirt (very lightweight, a-line, knee length with a tie in the waist), an old navy blue with yellow font insyderz t-shirt from my early twenties, a camel colored thrifted granny sweater and my glasses :)
What’s for dinner ?
i am not sure yet...sometimes it's hard trying to figure out meals because of my GERD/acid reflux. it has be tasty to everyone else too but my food has a lot of limitations..
What would you eat for your last meal ?
considering what i just shared, anything probably that is not on my bad food for me list!! maybe tostones (we puerto ricans love our fried plaintains) with garlic shrimp!
What’s the last thing you bought ?
for myself? a thrifted spaghetti strapped green flowy dress with a quilted pattern look and thrifted chocolate brown sofft shoes. yesterday though, i did have to run out a buy some food for george the hamster and brobee the rabbit :)
What are you listening to right now ?
seabear, ghost bees, the acorn, horse feathers, alela diane, department of eagles, sea wolf. you can see what i am listening to on last.fm. i love discovering new sounds, especially when they have a folksy or earthy feel. if it has banjo in it, that's a plus as well!
What is your favorite ice-cream flavour ?
mmmm....ice cream! i do enjoy pecan praline and butter pecan! oh, and strawberry shortcake from the ice cream truck!

mathyld is a complete sweetheart, don't let all her black clothes fool you! she is just a tender soul, wrapped up in pleasant and good thoughts for others. she makes friends quickly (believe me, she has half the crafting blogging world as dear friends!) and i can't wait to one day join her for tea, face to face :)

oh i would love a victorian house in the woods! if not, i would settle for a victorian house on carroll ave. in echo park, los angeles. there is already one there just waiting for a millionaire to come home to it and fix it all up!

to visit sweet mathyld at her mother's tea room in france!
Which language do you want to learn ?
i should really learn spanish since that would be my native tongue. after that, french. it just sounds so beautiful!

What is one of your favorite daily/weekly rituals ?
taking morning walks around the neighborhood. just hearing the songs of birds and being fascinated by the flowers, trees, grasses that i pass by. yesterday as i walked, one cute little blackish brown bird even lead my way for awhile. i felt like the pevensie children from the lion, the witch and the wardrobe who were lead by a robin :)

plants, seeds and tools for gardening :)

i am not sure i really have one but i just adore pretty much everything anthropologie has to offer!

the folksy gals of violet folklore, amber and sasha! :)

hmmm...comfortable, vintage- y at times, or 'melancholic' because i like to wear black but i do it with a warm heart and a smile!

finish painting a wall in my daughter's room

oh too many to list!! i love movies from wes anderson, hiyao miyazaki, tim burton. i like fantasty/adventure films like the lord of the rings, harry potter, etc. i seem to watch those all the time!

strawberries, bananas, raspberries and blackberries.
What inspires you ?
God's creation in nature, my daughter, folk stories, fauna and flora...
What is on the walls in your bedroom ?
a few framed photos of my daughter, some of her artwork, a tiny curio cabinet with one-onch buttons from little byrd vintage, my amelia doll from little red fox, a silhouette of natalie when she was two from disneyland, art from kathleen lolley and noosed kitty and a papercut house i made.
Your favorite book ?
this is a tough one, there are so many good books! how about i tell you the one i am currently reading instead? i am reading rudyard kipling's the jungle books and they are brilliant!
Do you collect something ?
owls, rocks and feathers, tea & tea accessories. i am sure there is more, there are so many little things i hold on to for various reasons but for the moment can't think of anymore :)
