my little artist

her still life

she amazes me. today as i was laying down, burdened by a nasty cold, she went to her easel and began to paint a still life of white flowers in a purple vase. once she was finished and i was awake, she quickly brought me over to see her work. i was truly in awe. she did such a wonderful job! to see the world through her child eyes and to see how it manifested through her hands, i just can't express how wonderful it makes me feel.

she is so eager to paint, draw and create. it's such a honor when she 'copies' one of my works. she tells everyone she wants to be an artist like her momma. i think she will be.
